Sam Vidler
Psychotherapist (AMHSW)
Sam is an experienced Psychotherapist (Accredited Mental Health Social Worker) and a member of the Australian Association of Social Work (AASW). Sam is registered with Medicare and can accept GP Mental Health Treatment Plans, she can also provide services to Workcover claimants and participants under the NDIS (self-managed / plan-managed) . Sam has completed a Bachelor of Arts, a Graduate Diploma of Counselling, and a Master of Social Work.
Sam has experience with a range of presentations in adults and adolescents (16+) and aims to be a catalyst for positive change in her clients’ lives. Sam is a person-centered practitioner who is experienced in helping clients to identify their own goals and collaboratively creates a plan to work towards achieving them.
Sam has training in evidence-based therapies and primarily works with people impacted by complex trauma, anxiety, depression, sexual assault (including adult survivors of historical abuse), parenting and family issues (attachment, empathy, communication, social skills), self-esteem (boundaries, confidence and resilience), self-care (holistic health and wellbeing), grief and loss, stress management, relationship issues and conflict resolution.
Sam has availability on Tuesdays and Thursdays and is currently accepting new bookings.
